Our Principles
Magier's mission is to help businesses earn and prove trust. To do that, we're building an enduring company where everyone on the Magier team can do the best work of their careers. That requires us to articulate, and regularly revisit with honesty and clarity, how we work and make decisions—we call these our "Principles."
We use these Principles every day in how we operate, build Magier, serve customers, and choose future teammates. They guide how we work, how we hire, and how we interact with customers, partners, and each other.
As Magier grows, we'll update our thinking and revise these Principles, balancing "what got us here" with what's likely to propel us further.

Put our customers first
We center our customers and their needs in our work, and invest in long-term relationships with them. What and how we build is driven by our customers first and foremost, so that we're more likely to achieve our mission of securing the internet.
Bias for action
Everyone on the Magier team has a bias for action. We make decisions and act quickly, even in the face of uncertainty, and we're willing to make mistakes in the process. We know that most decisions are "two-way doors." When we get new information, we're comfortable reversing course as long as we move quickly so we can iterate and learn.
Win as one team
Members of the Magier team prioritize the company as a whole and put their teammates before themselves in their work. We celebrate the successes of our teammates, knowing that those successes are also our own, and we presume good intent because we know that our teammates are also putting Magier and our customers first.
Decide with frameworks
The Magier team is known for acting quickly while making decisions thoughtfully. We use frameworks that apply to Magier as a whole: defining decision criteria, considering alternatives and impact, and clearly articulating the reasoning behind each decision. We also document decisions so they're accessible to our colleagues and ensure that critical choices follow a clear decision-making framework.
Lead with resilience
Magier created and leads a dynamic, enormous market, and we operate in incredibly high-stakes situations helping to keep our customers, and their customers, safe and secure. As a result, our team often finds itself in rapidly changing situations where expectations and direction are unclear, and where external parties may not practice our principles. We don't let rough seas knock us off course - instead, we operate with resilience and grit. We see rapid change, and our ability to respond to it quickly and effectively, as an opportunity to continue redefining the industries we operate in to serve our customers.
